Fashion for the "playa" in you.

This will be my first of many posts about fashion for you guys out their that want to dress well but just don't know how. This post will focus on a very diverse article that can be worn in many ways, the vest. Now, I know some of you are thinking that the vest is reserved for the VIP lounge or Justin Timberlake concerts but just the opposite is true.

Here is an example of a nice color vest:

Mine is a little darker than this but that's ok. This particular vest is available at express for $88. I personally bought mine from urban outfitter's, I lucked out and got mine on sale for about $20.

Now, the important stuff, how to wear it. Everyone knows how to wear a vest for a dress occasion just make it match your pants, add a white button up with a tie and perhaps a matching coat if your a suit guy. This is pretty basic so I'm going to skip the details. The next more casual look is good for anything from just hanging out to going on a date.

Here is an example of the casual look, which I stole from GQ's website:

This is perfect, however, I sub the polo for a graphic tee v-neck from express. I believe that you can wear your vest open or closed in this situation. I wear mine closed because I like the look, it's up to you. If you're a little out of shape I suggest closed, the vest has a great slimming effect.

Here is another perfect way to wear your vest: Photobucket

This is a great look, I wear my vest with dark jeans, a white button-up and a skinny tie. This is perfect for even semi-formal occasions as well as hanging out with friends.

I hope you guys learned something from this post. The next fashion based post will be about the "skinny tie".
